I have this and it is a very powerful polisher. You have to get used to it or you'll be flinging compound everywhere. Works great on large flat-ish areas like hood, roof, door.

I had a corded polisher and it's an enormous improvement to be cord free. This has the same or more power than my girots garage polisher. Yes the battery makes it bulkier than a corded but I'll take that over not having to pay attention were the cord is and always moving, tripping or running out of cord.

I use it with 5.0 batteries as they have a good weight / runtime combination.

I purchased this when homedepot had it bundled with the high torque impact and ended up paying a bit less than this when the odd combo was a special buy.

FYI - acme tools used to have the best price on the 3 pads. Yellow polishing, black waxing, white heavy wool buffing / cutting

Fair warning, this appears to be a rotary, not a random orbital.

I have this polisher and been using it for little over a year now. It's great for maneuverability, it's super light weight!, and powerful (up to 2000 rpm). It is rotary! and it will obviously eat thru those 5.0 XC batteries like no tomorrow. I think I get about 20 min semi-continuous runtime out of a single 5.0 battery. My 6.0 High output battery makes it heavier than my Dewalt Corded but it will run for over half hour. Just to give you guys an idea in case you were wondering.
Only thing i didn't like about this polisher was that it's a bit of a screamer like the corded Makita's. But nothing too unbearable. And being cordless makes me ignore the fact that it's a bit loud. That being said, I still use the corded rotary polishers I own for more demanding heavy duty buffing since it makes sense. This, I usually use over hoods and roofs (no cord over the shoulder) great lightweight machine. Great price.
