The brand may have "gone downhill" in the eyes of picky, elitist consumers, but getting a deal for the world's largest retailer to sell your products means sales and, in turn, profits will almost certainly skyrocket exponentially. Very smart business move, especially for brands once marketed at the hard-to-retain and fickle "fashionable" target market. Once Starter got into Walmart, its sales increased to never before seen levels, even if it lost the eye of the "fashion-forward" market. When a once prestige brand starts being sold at Walmart, that signifies a marketing strategy change. A change that is arguably much more sustainable and much less costly than trying to stay on-trend.
Bought both the separate pajama pants and the box set when these were on sale before. The box set pajama pants aren't as nice as the ones that were sold separately. The waistband isn't as comfortable.
Had the same thought. Wow has that brand gone downhill over the last 20 years. Perhaps they're trying to follow Champion.

This is a company that went bankrupt in 2016, was delisted from the NYSE and reorganized in an attempt to scrape meat off the bones. "Exponentially skyrocketing sales" isn't quite the history of Aeropostale. But take that, picky elitists and fickle fashionable consumers.

True, I used to work there. But Aero has been in the market and in the minds of Teens/College age population for a while now. Nowadays, Shein is the kind of the fasion trend somehow. It is not just about quality.
