**UPDATE**
This does work in Windows 11, but it's not comparable to Peace in any way. It's has a 9 point parametric EQ and you can save presets, but that's basically it. I'll probably still switch back to Windows 10 so I can use Peace, but this ain't bad for free.

Trying to boost voice on my Teams audio via monitor speaker (LG) but this app doesn't seem to make a difference - it creates a new "FX Sound Speakers" and EQ applies to laptop speakers only. Anyone knows how to fix it? TIA!

Edit: fixed. Just need to redirect Teams in device setting and point to the new virtual "FX Speakers" rather than your physical speakers. EQ effect works well

Try the mic boost fix for Corsair I posted a few comments up. If Equalizer APO can see the mic it should be able to boost the sound. You just need to adjust the DB settings until you have the level where you want it.

Dialogue is generally on the center audio channel of a 5.1 or 7.1 audio stream, so if you can boost the volume of that channel it should only affect speech, unless there's a lot of off camera talking. That wouldn't be an option if the audio is stereo though. In that case you should try a compressor or limiter, which boosts the quieter parts of audio to the same level as the louder parts. It's what radio stations use to make everything equally loud and starts to sound really bad if you crank up the compression ratio. The more compression you add the less dynamic the audio is.

I have a hearing impairment and some videos with distracting sounds makes pech difficult to decipher. Just gave this a shot and it did a really good job of elevating speech from background noise. Much better than fiddling with my laptop's equalizer.

Been playing with this - using a CEntrance USB DAC stick, Polk Omni amp and couple of Polk OWM5 speakers and an old Mirage sub - been fun so far to play with. Thanks OP!

I'm not sure if this software has something like that but I know FOR SURE that Sound Blaster audio cards have software integrated that focuses solely on vocals and amplifies them for movies/tv shows/etc. There is also a setting to amplify footsteps in first person shooter video games. I love those features.
