OK so check this out: I connected to my phone's hotspot, I opened Garmin's website in Firefox incognito mode, and then added the Fenix 7 Sapphire Solar to the cart. I did not sign in with my Garmin account, at the cart, I applied the coupon code from perksatwork, and...... it worked!
I got it for $719 and then tax!

Ordered one. 5-8 weeks shipping time. Used perksatwork coupon, cleared garmin cookies, VPN-diff region, ordered without logging in to account. Tcb 6%, not sure will come through.

I tried every watch and the 20% coupon from Miles worked for all watches EXCEPT for the Fenix 7 series. Enjoy the coupon but not if you want a Fenix.

I bought a coupon from eBay and it worked on Fenix 7X solar. paid $40 and got $200 off. Good deal.

Nothing critical. With 5-8 week delay I'm going to wait for best buy to get them in stock so I can see it in person. I didn't realize the body wasnt metal. I suppose it makes sense given all the radios but now I want to see it in person.

It will definitely be back, depending on their stock they still have back.
As to whether it is a better deal, that is not an easy thing to say. I switched from the Fénix 6 Sapphire to the Epix because I definitely wanted the screen but also because the GPS accuracy and heart rate tracking on the Fénix 6 was really bothering me. The higher end new Fenix 7 and Epix models fix that with new sensors.
I cannot even overstate how fabulous the new Epix screen is!
