Yes, I did this a few months ago and it worked like a charm.
Nah it doesn't stack. Have to either cancel or just wait till it ends. Not sure how long this conversion thing will last though.

The discount code worked. Windscribe vpn, activation and all that also worked.
The only issue was that I couldn't open the game pass ultimate conversation page through the link above. I had to go to MS website and find the link to join game pass ultimate, which was displayed as $1 conversion (never had it before).
