Love my HomePod!
I just changed over my entire house to HomePods from echos. I will say as an iOS user, it is just more intuitive and "just works" better than echos when trying to play/transfer music etc. I'm also slightly more comfortable with Apple listening to all the things vs daddy bezos. IMO they look better too.
I use HomePods because I'm already integrated into the Apple ecosystem, they have good sound and better privacy. But the "smart" capabilities are definitely subpar. Siri frustrates me more often than she helps me.

Nifty if its not directly in front of your computer cuz goddamn the amount of times my iPhone tries to transfer from the device to the phone because I'm too far in on the table with my phone.
