It will convert to 4 months of ultimate. AFAIK the loophole still exists to buy up to 3 years of gold, add them to your account, and then purchase 1 month of ultimate. It will convert all 3 years to ultimate for the price you paid for the 3 years of gold. Only caveat is you have to wait for your current ultimate subscription to expire.

Is it Costco that has the cards for 3 years for $99? Or is it only two years?

Gamepass is going to become very important to use in time because MS bought Activision. Eventually all those games are going to more than likely be exclusive to gamepass.

It will convert to 4 months of ultimate. AFAIK the loophole still exists to buy up to 3 years of gold, add them to your account, and then purchase 1 month of ultimate. This still works, I just got a series x, bought three years of gold and upgraded with the $1 trial of Gamepass this morning.

And if you're not currently a subscriber to Live or Game Pass, can you convert 3 years of Live to Game Pass if you've done it in the past? When I visit my MS account's subscriptions, for Xbox Live Gold, I see "Upgraded to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate". I probably did that for like a single month awhile back. So before spending $150 for more Live, I just want to make sure I can do the full game pass conversion.

I don't think they'll ever make big games exclusive to Game Pass. They'll always gladly take $70 off your hands if you'd rather do it that way.

Don't take my word for it, but I think I remember seeing that you can but the upgrade price is $10 or $15 instead of $1 if you've done it before.

I did this just recently as well for myself and my son. 3 years of Game Pass Ultimate for around $100 bucks. But I used other country Live Gold keys with VPN cuz they were cheaper.

Thanks for the post. Was looking for a deal around Christmas. Microsoft doesn't sell a renewal more than 6 months on their site. Costco was $54.99.. This is the better price @ 49.99

EVERY Microsoft studios game has come day and date to gamepass. Gears 5, Halo Infinite, Forza Horizons etc.were all released on gamepass the day they came out. That's one of it's stated selling points.
