it all really depends what you are trying to do with it. this is more of a jobsite or emergency generator. if you have plenty of gas and dont mind the sound and refilling it, then realistically it could power a fridge and a window AC unit or 2 and random electronics no problem. but if you intend on it always being your long term source of power you would probably want something that supports a battery bank sensor and can turn itself on and has more sound muffling built in.

Wheel kit if interested. Comes with pull handle.

Great price for a basic generator. I use mine as an emergency backup generator for my house, so I can go a year or more without using it. For that reason, I prefer the Duromax / Durostar dual-fuel models (gas or propane). I've always powered mine with propane, which doesn't go bad quickly like gas does.

So if that's a consideration, you might want to wait for a deal on one of those. But if you just want a basic gas generator, this is a great price.

DuroStar 4000 watt generator. A basic generator for a decent price. These usually run about $400. Great reviews on Amazon. I've had one of these for about 5 years. They will last forever if you run them dry after each use.

How is the noise? I live in a city so neighbors are really close. Dont want a leafblower running all night.

I like this generator and I like the price BUT no wheels as mentioned and no 220 plug to run the "whole" house.

If you don't need those two things this is a great generator.

Doubtful.

Your question leaves a lot to be desired as far as specificity.

Looking for one for dry camping with our travel trailer. Seems like reviews on Amazon are good for that purpose.

Anyone able to chime in if they've used this or similar for the same purpose?

More power and less expensive.

This isn't going to run your whole house, at least not if you include heat pump and major appliances. It's also not an inverter, but you're not going to get a 4000W inverter for $270.

Ebay used to be a good place to buy Duromax generators. I bought my 10000W dual fuel unit for $499. No idea if they still have those sales, though. They are pretty loud, but YouTube has videos on how to make a sound deadening box for it.

So it's better to run appliances and electronics on inverters from what i understand. What is this good for?
