Even if these are plain white, Philips Hue bulbs are much higher quality than "plain ole" LED bulbs, so $1 is a great deal for them.

BS shows $9.97 for the only store around me with inventory.

True, most of us will not get these in store deals...Ultimately it's a matter of choice, if you have time to drive around looking for ins tire deals.

Smart bulbs are called they because you can communicate with them through an app or home assistant. But there are some bulbs out there that have a remote you can use to set colors that don't need an app. I believe most have an option to randomly change color. I had one for my son's room until I found a deal on a smart bulb so we could control his lights from our phones or Google Home. They can usually be found at Five Below or in your departments at places like Walmart.
