About Brenton Studio Black Mesh Business Card Holder:
Make a great impression with this metal business card holder in contemporary mesh design. Gets your desk organized with a contemporary look! Metal mesh material provides see-through visibility. Helps to increase your efficiency and productivity.
I haven't read this whole thing to see if anyone has mentioned it yet, but if not Lenovo's rewards program (free to join, answer only bare minimum required to join, you'll earn points for adding the other info later) usually has a handful of things going to net you $0.50-$1 worth of points a piece instantly. Like adding a phone number or address to your rewards account, or answering a 2question survey or doing a product review. You're still on the hook for sales tax though, points will only apply to the purchase itself. There was no recycling fee in tx,btw.
Brenton Studio Black Mesh Mini Sorter is a poison pill here. Will get you an extra $4 fee that they won't tell you until the very end. I just ordered some pen & paperclip cups and avoided it.
Found a nearly identical biz card holder at the local Dollar Tree recently. It makes a nice little stand for my phone while I watch videos or monitor certain apps.
I did it over chat on the laptop it did take some time.
I gave them the direct link to all of the items and then pasted which office Depot item numbers I wanted to price match. It was a little bit of a pain but I ended up using $25 in rewards instead of out of pocket.
They build your cart but won't take payment unless it's all in rewards. You will need to call and pay for your order over the phone. I was hoping they would let me place the order and then credit back my account.
Thanks! Repped - you made this deal actually slick!
If anyone wants to make it easy:
1) Build your cart with identical items at both websites, Lenovo and OD
2) Print the pages for the carts to PDF
3) Open up a chat with the OD reps
4) Send them the PDFs of both carts
5) Price correction!
With waiting for responses this took about half an hour.
The CS chat had me place my order (with curbside pickup because I wanted to do that). They tried to then tell me to go pick up my order and then contact customer support again to get the price correction - I think the agent was being lazy because I pushed the point that they should be able to do it already and I wanted to see the adjusted total. So they did it right away - I saved a total of $100.
Also for anyone that was getting the "CA recyclTAX" - Office Depot doesn't have that problem obviously. But if you are trying to figure out the tax without having to checkout to see every item, I noticed that it looks like most things that come in a plastic bag or probably have a plastic bag in the packaging (larger items especially) seem to have that. For example with the binder clips, the ones that are "box of XX" do not have the tax but all the binder clips that come in bags do have the tax. Similar logic for the wire mesh stuff - the smaller ones probably just come open or in a box at most, while the larger items probably come in a box with a bag around it.
It goes without saying that CA does not have a $4 tax for every item that has a plastic bag, it's obviously a mistake.
Also the lower you get in OP's linked Lenovo list the worse the discounts get, the ones at the bottom for pleather stuff is a joke.. There are more office supplies on sale than in OP's link too though, but nothing amazing - here's the full catalog of office supplies (some calendars are pretty cheap): https://www.lenovo.com/us/en/dc/accessories-and-software/office-supplies[lenovo.com]
Lenovo phone rep promised someone would check into the erroneous recycling fee and call me back last Friday. No one called and the attitude is that no one cares.
Does anybody know how long it takes for the rewards to be available to use? I'm considering buying a desk which would then give me $21 in rewards I could reuse.
How to track the shipping?
A while ago, I ordered a bunch of items, but received only the cell phone holder via UPS Ground. The included invoice listed only the holder priced at $.54.
