An old standby has cash issues so we'll pick it up for Pennies on the dollar, exploit the name, milk this corpse until it's no longer recognizable, squeeze all credit out of it and then spin it off to Walmart-quality merchandising companies.

Hope they don't do that, as I've been buying from Brooks Brothers for decades, although my purchasing slowed as the store raised its prices substantially higher for many items after being acquired by the Del Vechio's. Their slim-fit supima cotton oxford cloth button down shirts have been a mainstay in my wardrobe. So comfortable, and such a great example of traditional clothing.
