All TV companies buy panels from mulitple different suppliers. Panel companies are separate companies from TV companies. Samsung uses three or more suppliers for their TV panels often in the same exact model. Here is an example
https://www.rtings.com/tv/learn/p...ry-samsung

LG sources IPS panels from either their LG Display sister company (LG electronics and LG display are separate companies under the large LG umbrella) or BOE. They get VA panels for some TVs from any number of companies.

With LED tvs these days, any TV can have a panel from just about any company and different sizes will have different supplies (for example Foxconn/Sharp and CEC Panda are pretty much the only producers of 70" panels globally).

Now if you want to know where these TVs originate, they are made by Tsinghua Tongfang, which is the parent company of Element. These Westinghouse, Element, and also Walmart Onn TVs are basically all the same with just slight variations.

And since we are on the subject, Amazon branded TVs are now coming from TCL, Toshiba is coming from Hisense, and Philips/Magnavox in North America only are from Funai. In the rest of the world, Philips TVs (which are higher line than what we have here and include an extensive OLED line) are made by TPV. Incidentally, TPV now makes the Insignia TVs for Best Buy. TPV is also by far the world's largest producer of computer monitors, controlling 35% of the market.

Back to panels - incidentally both LG Display and Samsung Display have indicated that they will be completely withdrawing from making LCD panels in the near future to focus on OLED and micro LED lines. That will basically just leave Taiwanese and Chinese panel companies for these LCD/LED tvs.
2 pages of comments and not a single person comparing this to a TV which costs 3 times the price or letting us know their $3000 12KUHD LCD with expresso maker was "worth the price compared to the POS"???

I think I may have bumped my head.
What are the chances I can buy this and replace my 65" without the wife noticing?

Tempting…anyone know who actually makes the panels. Last I heard, Westinghouse was just a generic corporate whore name, if you'll pardon the expression. My Fujitsu mini split HVAC is branded a Westinghouse, and I know some Westinghouse TVs from ~10 years ago were actually LG from what I can remember…

I recall back when I was in the electronic business. The Samsung H6350
It came with 3 different panels. The best panel was for store display models and not meant for the public. Now and then someone would get lucky and get one.
The other two inferior panel were for the public and not as good.
Never quite understood that BS,

With box we would need a u haul then 🤣. For warranty and return ship I prefer to keep the original box.

This is a TV you would buy for someone you hate. I buy an E series Vizio or 4 series TCL before I even think of buying this.

In fact if I won the TV I would feel that I have been cheated.

If there were laws about producing bad TV, this one would be behind bars with the cord cut.
Are you talking about it as a first hand user with experience? Or just sore about the price 😉

I got a really cheap big TV from Target before, just to use for the meantime while I finish moving from state to state, it will do its job, but if your used to flagship tvs or mid tier tvs and you use this, you would know why it's cheap, maybe for a guest bedroom or a garage tv may be ok, but if.you would be using it in your bedroom or your primary tv, I suggest you save a few more and get something better

Those " made for " TVs are subject to change
I bought an Insignia TV years ago that was an LG made TV
