If you install it yourself.. then you can call Costco for installation refund.. for my $500 dishwasher.. they refunded $125 :-)
I bought the 750 model for $620 last year. It is quiet and washes great. 3rd party installer guy was rude, so I ended up putting it in myself. Costco gavee $150 credit. So far, I love the machine! 3rd rack is nice to put larger utensils in. 24 hours delay is very handy. Stainless steel tub looks beautiful. 47 db washing is so quiet, I can't even tell it is running. It probably won't last as long as my old Whirlpool but that's just what you get with modern appliances. Also Costco included the install kit normally you buy separately. That's another $40 saved.
Looks it was $400 last year in Aug.

I have a different whirlpool (stainless on the outside, but not inside) from Costco. The build quality is not great. My wife hates it. The stopper that keeps the upper rack from coming out keeps coming off. I need a new dishwasher but no way I am getting her a Whirlpool.

Looks out of stock right now anyways.

I think so. In fact, I just bought it as we've been waiting for this to go on sale. Third rack, adjustable second rack, stainless steel tub, 47 dB, just some features that are worth $100 more than the OP. Also, OP's dishwasher is OOS in my area.

I thought GE quality sucks, but it worked great for 8 years.

I replaced GE with Whirlpool, and upper rack stopper broke in 1 year.

Heater element stopped working after 2.5 years. Will not recommend.

I have whirlpool dishwasher from Costco. i honestly hate dishwasher and Costco installation. the installation was not good, as it forces water out of air gap. inspected second person, it was no such issue.
it is hassle to contact Costco. I recommend against Costco appliances. you may price match and install from homedepot or lowes.
I paid $200 for plumber to do proper install

Does anyone have any thoughts on WDT970SAKZ [costco.com]?

In comparison to the 750 [costco.com], it has a 3rd rack that actually seems useful, is removable and has dedicated cleaning. It also has a new fan-assisted heat dry mode. Is it still slick at $700?
