I can tell you you will not get anywhere near 28 miles range.
Otherwise It's zippy - even though I weight 226LBs and i got it to 20mph on flat surface. Even going up slight hills no issues.
I would estimate the battery would last maybe 8-10 miles (for my weight). The longest trip I took was 7 miles and when I came back it still had "kick" but barely 1 line left on the battery display...wich i have to tell you is not accurate in that respect.
Overall, I bought it when it was $500+ and if I was to do it again, I would. It's really fun and it has been worth it.
It will get 20 miles or so but you have to fall into the spec category of

Other than that it's ymmv on how much range you get from the scooter

They asked me to hurry up and do it while they still have inventory for replacing it. Meaning they don't make these anymore and the price keeps decreasing. It's less now than it was in December, even on regular online stores.
Btw, I did receive the replacement, but it was a used and broken unit that they gave me. Not happy with this company.
I actually crunched the numbers and if I continue to commute on this (which I thoroughly enjoy) it will offset it's cost in fuel savings in about 5 months.
