Surprised this isn't getting more of a buzz. $750 matches the BF deals but perhaps the $650 YMMV deal that popped a month ago has set the expectation level. Believe that was either a local deal or maybe even a fluke. At $750 this is still very viable IMO. Not aware of another laptop at this price point that matches the spec or quality, much less the added benefit of being an ultralight 15" display.

As a point of reference, I bought and returned one of the Lenovo ThinkBook 15 Gen 3 from BF. Really wanted to like that laptop but the display was unacceptable, at least for me. This LG cost perhaps $50-70 more than the ThinkBook but a much better value for me. About the only negative I can find is the inability to upgrade RAM but at 16GB, more than adequate for my uses.

how come this is so cheap with all the chip shortages?
Because it was overpriced already and they need to drop stock for newer models.

I have an order in for the 13.3" galaxy book pro 360.. And debating to cancel that for this. 360 has same amount of ram and storage but i7 processor instead of i5 on this. No 2 in 1 on this. Larger screen on this but might be a good thing given the weight. Only 1 m.2 slot on the 360, two on this (one unused). Reports of spontaneous screen cracks on the 360 make me nervous. Total price is comparable for both. The 360 let me add a 11 year old Dell inspiron that is no longer usable as a trade in for an additional $60 discount. Any other thoughts from someone who is considering both? 13 inch ordinarily seems better for portability needs but this LG is super lightweight.

You can add second m2 drive and ram is soldered. I'd take 16gb of high speed ram over 32gb of low speed ram any day.

Ive been using this laptop since last year and am loving it.

Best laptop I've ever owned. You can hold it in one hand and take it anywhere.

I only wish the webcam is 1080p and can handle low light a bit better, but its 720p webcam is fairly standar for built-in cams.

It charges via usbc for those wondering.
Is this one high speed ram? Assume so based on your comment.

I picked one up over the holidays. I am extremely happy with it. It is as light as a feather (maybe more than one feather). I am sure it would not be realistic for a gamer but that is not the purpose of it. I liked that it has 16gb of RAM. The hard drive size is plenty big enough when I use cloud storage or my NAS. I like the case material. Fingerprint reader. Nice screen. Keyboard has a decent feel. Cons - speakers aren't very loud and I hate the font on the keyboard.
I just looked at this laptop at Costco yesterday— it is amazingly light for such a big screen. I really want something like this but I am not willing to give up on decent gaming ability. I am hoping that one of these light laptops will come out with the AMD's RDNA 2 integrated graphics— so it can be this light and still have decent gaming capacity. Since I mostly play strategy and RTS games I don't need cutting edge graphics capacity so for me RDNA 2 will probably be all I need and I would love to get that in a super light laptop like this one.

This or the 16in 2 in 1? I know the price is significantly different, but is the extra $$ justified?

Appreciate your input. USB C charging is important to me since all my devices are USB C. I read somewhere that it comes with a brick USB C charger instead of a small one ? If that's the case I will be in the market for a high wattage small USB charger.

I'm googling mix info about the display being glossy vs matte. Can you confirm?
It's glossy.

This is cheap as they make way for Alder Lake models, which I'd personally wait for over this...
At this point, might as well wait for Raptor Lake since we are already well into 2022.

The point is you'll always be waiting for the next best thing.

Foe this price point, you're gonna have trouble finding a slim, extremely lightweight laptop that has standard 16gb memory out of thr box.

Plus, Costcos superior standard warranty.

Man I just wish these came with touchscreens. I would have my rents pull the trigger on this for their next computer. They're wanting to ditch the old tower for a laptop they can take with them places and this is sooo light.

It's true, there's something else around the corner, but Alder Lake is a fairly significant upgrade over 11th gen in terms of performance and battery life. Generally, the upgrades haven't been a huge change (9th, 10th, and 11th).

Alder lake moved to a Big.little arrangement and Intel really picked up the pace on single thread performance.

I have the 13" GBP360 and love it. But I understand some don't like the keys, which are admittedly shallow. I think you need to figure out if you want a 13" or 15", and how important a touch screen is. I need to annotate PDF's regularly, so the GBP360 works great for me. But other times, I just use it as a laptop.

thanks, i'm gonna keep the 13" GBP 360. it just shipped today. excited to get it. Any recommendations for a docking station? I'll need some USB A ports, ethernet port, and displayport to connect to my monitors. I primarily plan to use as a laptop, but have a separate wireless keyboard, so the keyboard won't be much of an issue for me. No issues with any cracking for you, I assume? Do you use a case?

No recs re a dock. I use a generic USB-C expansion port from Amazon for USBA ports and HDMI - works perfectly. No issues with cracking, but I treat it pretty carefully. Wouldn't buy this laptop for my kids, or even a college student. I keep it in a padded Lenovo sleeve that has good protection on the corners. Haven't had any issues so far.

My apologies to OP for a meandering topic.

This is a great deal. Intel Core i5-1135G7 Processor caps at DDR4X 4266MHz upto 64GB ram. LG gram is light and easy to carry around, feels even lighter with this price tag. Not sure why it's equipped with Thunderbolt 3 and not 4 when it's got a 11th Gen Tiger Laker processor in it… though I do hear LG Grams with a 11th Gen processor has heating issues…
