I have not done this myself because I am pondering if I want $75 uber credit or if I want to wait for a better offer in the form of Untied miles or Travel Bank credit.
If you and P2 each have a plat card then obviously double-dipping the promo (either united TB credit or the uber deal) with single memberships is the better deal.
So if I use this deal -Uber- deal, I can't add a family member and also get that covered (using 1 amex plat card in the family)?
In other words, I would have to wait for the United/TravelBank deal?

At a really quick glance that seems to be the case, since the uber signup doesn't offer any way to add your united # to get the discounted pricing.
It appears to instead say your $75 voucher is conditioned on paying the normal $179/yr price.
