"One man's non-expert opinion on this TV: I bought the U6GR from Costco I returned it to Costco and got this.
I've only had it for a few days but here's my opinion:
--The H9G was the flagship model of Hisense just 18 months ago. There are three 2021 models of Hisense TVs that are "better" than the $399 Costco UG6R on the market right now from Hisense. I suppose it's not fair to lump in their 8k Tv, but still.
--The H9G build itself is better than the U6GR. It doesn't look cheap - and looks high quality, whereas the U6GR looks "meh" physically.
--The black variants are WAAAY better on this H9G and that's ultimately why I returned the U6GR. Check the RTings ratings on this. It's a 9.6 vs 8.8. I'm honestly wondering how U6GR scored an 8.8 - perhaps my U6GR TV was a lemon.
--I've run the same Youtube 4k "blooming test videos" I ran on the U6GR and the H9G panel outperforms by far, especially the scrolling white captions on black background test.
--The H9G panel has 132 dimmings zones whereas the U6GR only has 60! H9G=1000 nits vs U6G's 600.
I would def pay the extra $100 for this tv than the Costco U6GR
— the Google assistant is pretty cool. Like how there is a physical switch to turn it on/off built into the front of the TV.
Note I will only use this TV for steaming and cable TV as I do not game at all. From what I hear, if you're using this for a TV and just a TV, you should be very happy with it. There are concerns about the lack of HDMI 2.1 and no VRR on the H9G but since I do not game, it doesn't matter to me."

Very bright TV, and despite a pretty glossy screen seems to handle reflections very well.
