This can easily be confirmed by looking at the manufacturing tag at the back of the TVs. Hisense has no factory in Thailand. The factory ID on the Mexico models is actually right on the label. TSCEM is the abbreviation for Trend Smart CE Mexico, which is the name of TPV's factory in Mexico.
People assumed since Hisense was making the Toshiba Fire TVs, that Hisense made all the Fire TVs and that is not the case. TCL is now the OEM for the Amazon branded TVs, TPV makes Insignia, and of course Hisense makes the aforementioned Toshiba.
The Philips TVs in US/Canada are made by Funai and are not comparable to the Philips TVs made by TPV for the rest of the world.

Insignia TV used to my go to brand for dumb TVs since 2012. No issues with them, with the exception of the 2015 model that went out last year.
I now go with with Philips/Magnavox Roku TVs. The Philips ones sold vis Sam's Club, come with 3 year warranties. I just buy budget TVs and each new one I buy offer a better picture and features than prior models purchased.
Of course all the TV manufacturers share parts these days. Someone tore apart one of the current Insignia's made by TPV and the boards were sourced from Samsung and the panel from CSOT. Everything is commoditized so the TV manufacturers will buy whatever from whoever to meet a spec and a price point. Unless you are buying OLED, which are sole sourced panels from LGD until QD-OLED starts coming out, the LCD panels in any TV can come from any of about 6-7 companies. Samsung is known to source panels from three different companies in the same exact model. They are not alone in this as its all about preserving margins and keeping the supply chain stable.
