Do you just give them your rewards number at checkout after price matching when buying the batteries, and the points are added to your account a month later? Or do you need to show them a bar code or something for the points back?

Here are the terms:
Office Depot® OfficeMax® Recycling Rewards: $2 back in rewards is earned for each recycled cartridge up to 10 per month. A $10 minimum monthly purchase is required, excluding tax, delivery fees, purchases of all gift and prepaid gift cards, postage stamps, and purchases made with rewards and/or merchandise certificates/cards. We do not accept damaged cartridges. Program recycling rewards are paid out monthly online only as a rewards certificate when a minimum of $3 is earned. Program rewards will expire at the end of each calendar quarter if less than $3 has been earned. Bonus recycling rewards are paid out the day after the qualifying purchase posts to a Member's account as a reward certificate for the full value of rewards earned.
