z wave plugs are not common. the receptacles look clean. and also portable plugs can be moved around easily which makes home automation a bit more challenging. portable plugs can't easily be used in an outdoor enclosure due to the bulk.

Item description says 1 always on. In my research, I've found that to generally be the case for a majority of smart outlets. I believe it has a lot to do with NEC and/or being a listed (as in UL listed) product.

I found switches (dimming, regular, helper) and outlets at my store. They were all $25 - $28 though. So far I have just installed an outlet.

Just so you know, these are really ugly. I have lots of z-wave devices. I have one of these outlets. The color is not the same as standard white wall plates. They also have wires sticking out the back that you have to wire nut in which I'm not a fan of.

$15 is a good price, but only put these somewhere you don't care how they look.
