Im a dermatologist. Do not get this. Causes allergic contact dermatitis. No dermatologist in the world recommends this ever.
You gotta figure out whats going on to figure out the treatment. Itching is not strAightforward

But cerave anti itch with pramoxine or sarna often helps nonspecific itching
Don't be disuaded by the Debbie Downers on here. Always good to hear from someone who actually knows more about a particular subject...

You gotta be joking LOL. There is no way you're really a doctor saying this nonsense.

I'm sorry but people like you spewing your non-doctoral nonsense is dangerous. You have no idea what you're even talking about it's almost comical.
You've added nothing to prove them wrong. The only thing you've done is come across arrogant and someone who's a know it all while contributing nothing of value who simply leaves aggressive comments because it makes your miserable day slightly better.

If you need a benadryl type cream, your local dollar store has it. While it's not as convenient as prime shipping, it's still a buck and change.

No idea what the dermatologist was talking about earlier. I used this when I had poison ivy twice last year and it helped a helluva lot. I recommend this if you're near poison ivy, poison oak, or poison sumac

$3.83 for me, but still happy .Even if it doesn't work, sometimes you just need the placebo effect with kids.

What a bummer! This kind of response is why you are going to drive away people who are knowledgable from helping you choose products that help. Antihistamines do not work for itching, let alone topical. The only reasons they work is by sedation. Next time you visit your derm take a minute to ask. Learning how it works is empowering and will allow you to better take care of your skin. My delivery wasnt perfect but I dont have a ton of time on here to sugar coat. But better believe i treat my patients with dignity and discuss the risks / benefits of all treatments, fact or opinion. Goodbye SD skin care people
This is very inaccurate.

Antihistamines can relieve itching when the itching is caused by histamine release in your body. There are other causes of itching (opioids for instance) that may produce itching unrelated to histamine release, and an antihistamine will not help in that instance except to produce sedation. Many people that should know this don't, and as a result antihistamines are sometimes prescribed for pruritus that they won't successfully treat.

Is the spray bad? I use the spray for my scalp. Maybe it is bad too though.

Thanks for the suggestion. My doc prescribed me clotrimazole for nonspecific itchy patches.
No problem. Pcps are great but many just don't have adequate training in skin pathology. I always recommend a derm for any skin changes. You are given an antifungal but fungus is rarely multifocal - plus it is a pretty quick diagnosis on exam.
