I wouldn't go cheap with hiking gear (or camping gear). If u want something that's comfortable, keep your feet dry while providing ample support for angle, spend on better brands like Merrill, Keen, Oboz .

Just happened to be putting my pair on today, loop through which the shoe lace threads tore loose just as I was snugging up. Bought them about 4 months ago, used lightly. Do not recommend them for any serious use except maybe keeping your feet dry while washing your car...
These are pretty cheap and I wouldn't try any serious hiking, but they're fine for shoveling snow which is what I mainly use them for.

Reading the reviews, one stated that they are waterproof.

I wear my terrex trail shoes for just about everything. Hiking, yard work, walking, going to the park, fishing. They're great all around outdoor shoes.

I probably won't get these due to poor reviews here.

Probably OK for yard work and gardening, I'd not hike in these unless in a pinch, too cheap...

Only to 13? Where are the men's sizes?

These are $20 boots. Have $20 expectations I'm betting you'll be pleased. Expecting them to push you through the Appalachian trail will leave you disappointed.

Look at the price. Look at the materials. Pretty easy to make a determination based on just those two factors.

My timberland hikers made of leather and rubber are going on year 3 of heavy use, and other than the tread wearing down, they remain waterproof and relatively comfortable. I use them 2-3 times a week on average. They were 4x the price of these.
Honestly, 4x this price is still a great deal on a pair of actual hiking shoes. I just purchased a pair of keens and I actually enjoy hiking now. I just can't see the use case on these.

Bought the all black version 2 years ago on clearance for $10 to 15 at Costco in store. Moderate use they are still holding up well. But i wouldn't use these as my main hiking boots as they have a slight uncomfortable stiff feel to them. You can try them for hiking and if they don't feel as great as you'd like they become your around the house working boots or just wear them with jeans in the winter while shopping around town. It's not hard to get $20 worth out of them so Id TU this deal. If your on the fence keep checking as price may drop in the coming weeks.

Got one. I probably hike a few times a year. These boots would be perfect, esp from Costco.
