I think a lot of people forget they dont actually have to subscribe forever. You can just subscribe for 1 month for advanced stuff -- and use older software you own for regular stuff.

the digital e-mail delivery took a while though. not sure why newegg lagged on that.
just fyi that the promotional code is a one time use code. i initially purchased one of these subscriptions and when I tried to buy two more, the newegg website said I couldn't use the code anymore.
So I just created another random account on newegg in order to use the same code again, and it worked fine.
