Frigidaire - Gallery 5.4 Cu. Ft. Freestanding Electric Induction Air Fry Range with Self and Steam Clean - Stainless steel

This is the cheapest I've seen for an induction range.

It does require a 240 Volt / 40 Amp.

General induction summary...
Benefits:Negatives
  • May need new pots if the base is not magnetic.
  • Cooking faster takes getting used to.
  • Generally more expensive (but getting cheaper.. )

It's been at this price for a few months now. I know because I bought this same model two months ago. it actually was for $999 around Thanksgiving and Christmas time. Still a good price though

I do like it overall, it uses buttons instead of knobs but that's not a big deal and you get used to it after a while. using the water boiling method, the hub sizes appear to be smaller than advertised on my unit. I'm planning on calling Frigidaire to ask them about that. the oven does take quite a while to preheat. And there is a slight buzzing noise from the hobs as you're cooking. I don't regret my purchase. I did get the 3 year extended warranty just in case.

Check and see if your local electric utility has a rebate for replacing your natural gas stove with electric induction

We have this range. It's terrible. The push button interface is infuriating, and that's when it's actually working. None of the burners size properly, leaving sections of pan that don't get hot. I have to rotate the pans or the food to keep things on heat. You can see the induction pattern if you boil water in a pan. Each burner makes a partial circle that's only a small portion of the stated burner size. The pattern is the same with every pan we've tried. All are flat, some are very nice new pans. I wouldn't pay a fraction of this, and would happily take my old glass top range over this. We're in the process of replacing it.

On the plus side, the oven isn't bad. 🤣

I have this, came from a gas range stove. I would not go back to gas ever. This is a ton better: water boils a lot faster, air quality indoors is noticeably better, I don't have to worry about gas leak, etc etc. I don't know about the burner sized properly, it hasn't been an issue for me, or maybe it is but doesn't really matter much - temperature is all mixed even in the pot anyway as soon as I stir. I have also tried electric before, and this saves a lot of electricity compared to that, and heats up or cools down much faster. If you have an opportunity to upgrade, I would say go for it.
As for the pans, probably over half of mine worked and I never looked to buy induction compatible ones. Just do the magnet test.

Thanks for the in depth review, the pattern description won't ever be found anywhere and that makes the whole difference of buying it and not

I have a similar fridgedaire induction range for about 8 years now and it's worked flawlessly. (Mine has knobs) Water boils really fast when using tri-ply pots and pans. It's easy to control the heat level since induction ranges only heats the cookware. My cookware gets to cooking temps almost instantly.

I love mine and would not go back to a regular or gas range. I have not experienced any of the issues that the other poster commented on.

I have it and I love it. A few minor quirks, but for half or a third of any other induction range, I'm perfectly happy.

Have the GE Induction stove and absolutely love it - will never go back to electric or gas! They are awesome. I have never seen water boil so fast!

i installed an older model with knobs in my parents house. i love it for them. they forget to turn off the stove a lot and induction reduces dangers. it boils water super fast but heat does not distribute well. we had to adjust and actively learn how to cook with it.
i still prefer cooking on gas because of the better heat distribution. they have a gas camping stove outside for the few times they NEED gas cooking but we will never want a gas stove inside again.

I had this in a previous home. I bought the black stainless from appliance connection <1000.

Unlike another reviewer, my main complaint was the oven. It took forever to preheat.

Still, was the best price I could get on an induction and didn't have lots of spare cash. overall I was happy with it.

Canceled my order. Too many negative reviews.

Recommendation for a good induction range?

Just bought a single burner induction thingy, and even though it is like 12 inches wide, instruction say max pan size is 8 inches which is not what you would think looking at burner size

We have an LG induction range and love it. Like everyone else said, heats up much faster, more evenly than gas and results in much much better air quality indoors as well. Noticeably much less oil film in the kitchen even with an Asian-style (high CFM) external hood exhaust. On "Boost" mode our LG range even allows for wok-hei cooking temps that are unattainable with home gas ranges!
