Yeah... the 55". If the 65" was ever $999.99, there would have surely been a thread here on SD, but there hasn't been.

No, it definitely has not at Costco. This is the lowest price it has been there. Previously the cheapest has been $1199. At $999 I'm pretty damn sure it didn't have 7 years of warranty either.

Grabbed an open-box for $865, tax and 7yr warranty (costco executive citi visa) included. Pro-tip per Costco floor employee: check warehouses on Fridays for open-box deals cos scumbags are returning their Superbowl sets that they never intended on keeping lmfao.

I am eyeing the slightly bigger 70" Samsung Q60A Series QLED around the same price as this Sony.I am hoping it goes on sale at Sams Club soon, the 65 is in couple days I am hoping they drop the price of both. I have 75 Q7 that is a few years old and I like it. Only complaint is bit of light bleed on dark scenes in the corners otherwise an excellent TV.

It's the features. U6G doesn't have HDMI 2.1 and VRR.

Yes, probably the same TV but if it was me ... it is a no brainer buying from Costco / Sam's ( even with the membership fees).BestBuy unit has 1 year warranty and the Costco one has standard 3 years.
The only reason to buy it from BestBuy is if you have reward points to use.

At my local Costco they won't price match ANYTHING without the original receipt. I learned that after trying to get ~$10 back when a pair of airpods dropped in price - they wouldn't even accept a printout from their own system showing the purchase. Of course, for them, I could return and buy a new pair for the savings. It's a bit asinine.

Guys, I just confirmed with my local Costco, their price match policy for TV is up to 90 days, didn't ask if original receipt is needed. So before heading out to your local Costco gives them a call to ask.
