Just an FYI if you're just getting this for the "free" tablet. The tablet is a Galaxy A7 lite which only costs $200 ($129 on Amazon)

They will still lock you to a 2 year EIP even if it's free (They'll make a monthly credit to cover the tablet EIP)

Meaning you'd end up paying $10 for 2 years ($240) for a $129 tablet.

So if you're only doing it for the tablet then it's not worth it
Some people don't live in a house.
Not on the "free" tablet, lol. In all seriousness, don't choose the plan with TE in the title as that one is tax exclusive (you have 2 choices)

soc code ZB10HSTI is the one you want.

TMOHS1 and Franklin T9 are 4G (LTE) only (no 5G). They don't have ethernet port to connect to a more powerful wifi router.

What is the best option for 5G? The Orbic or M2100? However it seems they are hard to find.

I could accept 4G LTE speeds, but need ethernet port to connect to my existing router (I don't want to replace the router). What would be the recommended 4G LTE hotspot with ethernet port?

Cudy has 5g router now. It's about 450 on Amazon. Just pop the SIM in. Easy settings change. Saving $15/month over the $25 home internet deal will break even in around 30 months. So I don't think it's worth it. But spending about $100 on Cudy X6 + used Nokia router was worth it for me.

So theoretically, if someone got them to add your phone on esim, how do you get it to actually work?
I got it working for a few seconds and registered on the network, but then stopped being able to connect to tmobile. So I deleted the plan from esim and tried to activate again, but it is not letting me activate it again. It says something about the plan being active on a different phone already.

You can try to connect the hotspot, TMOHS1 or T9, to your router via the USB port on your router. It works for Asus routers

Do you know how low it goes? Can you still stream HD video or is that over after you reach 50GB a month? Was going to dump one of my ATT Mobley lines for this Tmobile deal. I use them to stream TV while I'm traveling. Definitely go way over 50GB/month when I travel, but under 1TB.

Thought for sure this was a good solution. Maybe not.

Dumped my Mobley plans after using this for 6 months. This is far faster and cheaper too, I use over 1tb a month and don't see slowdowns (ymmv). Get this plan and test it for a month or two, then cancel Mobley.

Just an update on my own usage with pure hotspot Wi-Fi usage. My Orbic 5G continues to stop providing fast hotspot data via Wi-Fi after 10GB of usage; this is 3 months in a row after going over 20GB a few months ago. I accidentally went over my 10GB this month on day #1 of my month (12/17), so I swapped the sim into my M2100, and I was able to get fast Wi-Fi hotspot usage again. Not sure why my Orbic 5G is being stopped at 10gb while my M2100 can keep going. The Orbic 5G receives a T-Mobile warning around 8GB and then a second text message at 10GB, which is when data slows to a crawl.

On my T-Mobile business website account view, hotspot Wi-Fi data usage all shows up as web data usage for both the Orbic 5G and the M2100.
