whoa, whoa, whoa, theres still plenty of meat on that bone, now you take this home, throw it in a crockpot, add some broth, a potato, baby you got a stew going
I don't need one, but I want one. I just wish I could think of uses other than a massive batch of queso dip. I've tried but I don't need that much gravy and just about every other food I can cook on the stove or IP.

Walmart has the same model (SCR200-B) for $9.98 and it has a "warm" setting for dips and such. The Amazon description mentions a warm setting, it just doesn't show it in the picture (old photo).

I love the smaller crockpots. I use mine mostly for dried beans. I plug it into a lamp timer and let it cook overnight, and set the timer to shut it off after 8 hours. There's much more variety available in dried beans than there is with canned.

Good observation. I noticed some of the recent Amazon reviews that had pictures showed the warm setting you mentioned too.

Thanks for the feedback. Thumbup

2 qt is a nice portable size between commonly available 1.5 qt small size and 4/6/7 qt family size.

As the owner of a 3-quart, I wish I have a 7-quart since I usually make stews with it. I can fit maybe 10 drumsticks in mine? I'd recommend going big even if you're only cooking for yourself.

Theoretically you could but I'd imagine it's kind of like using a rice cooker to fry a steak.

I remember that quote but don't remember what show it was from. I want to say Seinfeld but I think it was something newer.

I love my 1.5 Bella freebie from Macy's BF
Just used it the other day to make chicken enchiladas
I fit between 1.5 and 2 lbs of skinless boneless chicken thighs in it plus a small to medium onion and some diced carrots
And chicken broth ,Just enough to make 6 enchiladas (exactly the number I can fit in my pyrex baking dish)
It is a good compliment to the 5 qt bella one I got at Macy's , I like using the smaller cooler for things like this ,you use less liquid and The feel the meat tastes better because it is closer to the onions and spices

Definitely don't do that with kidney beans. I don't know what other beans might be problematic, as well.
