The LG A1 is more or less the C1 without the gaming features and a couple other things, so you could save a couple hundred if that works:

The reason for the sales is because the C2 was just released. According to early impressions, the main difference between the C1 and C2 is the newer Evo panel on the C2 gets slightly brighter in HDR. Definitely not worth the extra $800 IMO.
