Genuinely curious -- what kind of a device requires a voltage converter yet only needs 100-200W? I would expect most devices in that low power range would be electronics that usually already have a switching power supply that handles 100-240V... The only thing I can think of in my household would be toothbrush chargers. I guess there are others, but still seems pretty rare...
This thing is ridiculous loud. I had to unplug it to sleep.
This unit actually converts the voltage from 220 down to 110. The cheap adapters only allow US plugs to plug in but the voltage is still at 220. Some devices are made to handle that but some require the lower voltage.

I happened to know one: Nintendo Wii…I think it's intentional to inconvenient gray market products.

Do you have to have a converter or does just a $10 adapter work? (if in UK)

Seems you would have to have this if all UK is 240 volts right? if so why would they sell the cheap converters?

/confused

I went to Israel 50 years ago. Because of a severe energy crisis they were running their 240v grid at 185v. I figured my 120v razor could handle that. It went up in a puff of blue smoke.
So there is one.

But it would have been better to buy a 240v razor than these things.

I've had their car battery booster thing - it's super useless and died very quickly. my noco that replaced it is rock solid and has lasted longer than the bestek and the ravpower ones combined. You get what you pay for. I wouldn't trust these at all
