If an order has a certain amount of TIP attached to it, the tip will be the full payout only, and we will not be providing additional payment. Here's the kicker, we will not be lowering our fees that we charge to the customer or the fees that we charge the business for processing the orders on our platform. Just a heads up it seems to authorize an amount like $20-30 above your purchase when you use the cash app (maybe to account for substitutions or tax difference) but since the $30 instacart bonus hit at same time my purchase of ~$115 still went through
IF you try to initiate a bank transfer on that screen, then yes I got the error that you had to wait for card to arrive. But doing above it funded my account no problem instantly
I initially linked a debit card attached to an old bank account with not enough money in it to cover the amount I tried to Add to cash app, and cash app declined the adding of funds. Once I replaced the debit card with one that was linked to a higher checking account balance, no problems adding the $150 of funds to cash app.
The cash app card draws from the cash app balance. To add a balance I went to the left most tab "$" and clicked "add cash". I added $50 more than what Costco/instacart was going to charge me - enough to cover the pre auth plus any overages from item replacements. This was to avoid any potential cash app over draft charges.
Once i added the funds, they appeared instantly in cash app. **IMPORTANT** I then added the instacart cash boost offer. Don't forget this step !
From there I entered the electronic cash app card number I was given, into Costco checkout , and the transaction went through.
I signed up for cash app and the cash app card today. The physical card I assume will arrive next week sometime.
