Anecdotal note, I have this thermometer and it seems to tend to read about 1 degree Fahrenheit low

As a nurse I can't recommend no touch ones. They always read two or three degrees off in my experiences. I always felt embarrassed calling a doctor because they'd basically tell me the patient has hypothermia if that was the true reading lol

i owned one of these, it was laughably bad. take temp 3 times, get 3 different temps. the battery contact apparently bends easily and stops making contact also. this will lead to you needing to remove the batteries and pry the negative contact back out, put the batteries back, put the cover back over it, then get seemingly random results.

If this was free i'd pass on it.

Yeah or the 3rd party vendor will send letter to you after purchase and offer 30 dollar gift card or something along those lines if you provide order number and proof of 5 star. Recently happened to me but I didn't do it and actually returned it. I'm very skeptical of Amazon reviews (especially the long ones) and it's crappy Amazon doesn't do better job dealing with this. I trust Slickdeals reviews way more.
