The rest of the Oral-b line of replacement heads were on the front page at $39.99, as part of the Costco Easter sale.
As far as I know, this is online only. I've never seen these in the store.
Yes, you have to pay sales tax.
There is a limit of two per order.
Given the .97 price, this is a while supplies last clearance.

Try to avoid charcoal products for your teeth, yes they will make your teeth white, but also very sensitive due to the enamel that gets removed since charcoal is very abrasive.

If you're on a Medicare Advantage plan, check to see if you have an OTC (over the counter) benefit. These may be covered. Mine does through CVS. They inflate the price against the benefit value. But, it still saves if you get something you need OTC, at zero cost.

I'm seeing the other ones for $49.99 not $39.99, could you provide the link to that price?

Do these actually have any significant amount of charcoal? Or are they just black bristles marketed as "Charcoal" when charcoal everything was the latest fad.

Thanks, I didn't realize the harmful effects of Charcoal. I'll stick to the cheap generic replacement heads on Amazon.

Do they use a significant enough amount of charcoal to cause harm?

Are there reviews from the people who were harmed by the product?

It's called baking soda. Dip your brush in it and work your teeth. You're welcome

I am a dentist and I am really annoyed by these larger dental companies producing products harmful to patients. Charcoal will destroy your teeth and a quick google image search should show you enough horrifying examples to steer you away.

I highly recommend asking your local dentist at your next check up for safer options to whiten your teeth, you'd want to make sure there's no cavities or build up of calculus (tartar) before doing any at-home or in-office whitening.

Oversimplified explanation:

-Charcoal removes stains by scraping away tooth structure with abrasive particles.

-Whitening products remove stains with hydrogen peroxide (and other forms of it) which enters and cleans the pores of your teeth that traps stains.

Therefore, charcoal does irreversible damage while hydrogen peroxide has only a risk of temporary sensitivity.
Don't sacrifice your natural teeth for a slightly faster result, it doesn't grow back!

The irony is that people who use charcoal products on their teeth daily will end up wearing the enamel on their teeth (which doesn't regrow) down to the point where their dentin starts to become exposed, giving their teeth a more yellowish color.
