A very small one, like a flowerbed edging. Otherwise you need to use stacking retaining wall blocks the lock together or have a lip. Over 3 or 4 feet you usually need a permit with engineering plans.

Good to know what the dark side of a brick looks like.

Thank you for posting this. I thought I missed out on these this year because they seemed to be on sale for a week or so at the start of April and then went back to full price. I need about 250 of these so this will be a pretty significant savings.

It's always this price in my area. Regardless, they are pretty sturdy. Mine never cracked or broke. And I use it as a car stop warning for my garage.

Is that the cheapest way to do it? I need to do one that will be hidden under an elevated sunroom and backfilled on the other side so it doesn't need to look pretty at all. Still go with those?

Generally it's one of the least expensive ways to go. They are about $2-3 bucks each. It's a pretty uncomplicated project to DIY. It needs some planning. You can go 3-4 feet high easily. Check online for help, backfill, and drainage design. Family Handyman has s good article on how to do it. Just have to get the first row dead-on-straight. Wood is pretty expensive right now, won't last as long, and is kind of a lot of work. Maybe easier to go with wood if you have to lug all the bricks somewhere by hand. Also, you could just do rock cages if it's easy to get the truck down to the spot.

Great price. Do I need to put gravels below, or just buy some novel paver base from HD for a easier work?

Sweet, ordered 34 pallets for about 50% less than my normal supplier. Thanks.

Appropriate for a steep walkway? I'm pretty dissatisfied with the 3/4" minus path leading from the front of the house, down a steep slope, through the rear yard.

What's the best solution? I'm thinking larger pavers to cut down on the time to set, plus less joints to collect dirt and grow weeds.
