Yes the fit more like an air max 1
Have you tried the "extra wide" Pegasus? Those do fine for me and I wear a 2EE in every other brand.
FYI that popular cashback site EB has 16% (edit: I see it as 8% as of 10PM Central) on Nike.com to bring up the discount even more. Normally, it is like 1.5% or so.

The Pegasus switched to elastic uppers years ago so I don't know what you mean by it being narrow?
Do you mean the base of the shoe is narrow? Not going to happen, if it was wider than the upper people with trip over their own feet when they try to run.
