Know that even hard-wired, this thing won't overcome the limitations of most battery-powered cameras.
There's no pre-rolled, meaning most of the recordings are of a person already in frame, or some cases walking off the frame. And most of the recordings are still in the 10-12 seconds range, no matter how much settings you do. It pisses me off!
edit*
unlike the Wyze, this offers onboard non-expandable storage of 8GB. in order to get the claimed 60 days worth of clips it had to be real frugal with the recordings, limiting it to about 12 secs (just like Wyze cloud storage back in the day, but this time locally)
Eufy also limits RTSP to 1080p due to their impl of v1 RTSP instead of v2/v3. Was really optimistic for eufy with my nvr (frigate) but until they get 2k output via RTSP ill look elsewhere.
This is not true. I have lots of videos that are 40-50 seconds long. But it does eat up battery quickly. I only only lasted 2 weeks before having to charge it lol

Also, if I'm hard wiring, these vs the cheaper Wyze V3? Both seem to offer local storage

I want more than 8gb because we're in 2022 (and beyond) and storage is so cheap but even on wyze 256gb (overkill after 2 years of using it)I never exceeded 3gb. I do actively clean out my storage.
I don't see why I need to review storage from 60 days ago let alone 3 weeks ago. I don't even do that for wyze. Unless you live in area that's known for suspicious activity then I would go for commercial grade security.
On eufy, there is a setting record beyond 12 seconds. .
I'm moving off wyze because some areas are not wire-friendly for me.

If you have a solar panel then you wouldn't need to charge it manually, right?

I have these cameras as well as the Wyze. These are much better andI have $19.99 solar panels connected to them the connection is a micro usb connection. This price is a good price and the length of video is longer then 12 seconds. Wish I could post a pic of the one on my shed.
Hmmm, not a bad deal at all... I prefer using the 2K Indoor cams outside because of the 24/7 local recording and cloud recording, but these are handy if you want some further away from the house pointed back towards it, etc.

These Eufy cameras are GREAT, except they cannot continuously record. For that reason and that reason alone, I have an entire Eufy system for sale and switched to Lorex PoE system.

To get this, your conditions would have to be optimal, and most recording positions aren't.
Your subject would have to be close, standing literally in the center or no more than 3/4-- for the recording to continue.
I have mine set as long as 75 seconds length, about 60-70% sensitivity, and still MOST average about 10-12secs long. I have 5 Eufy cameras, and bought twice as many for friends and family, and only the battery powered ones are this stingy, so don't be discouraged, they're still great cameras if anyone is in the market.
