The Costco/Stearns & Foster mattress is amazing for the price. It's a beast of a mattress and difficult to move but I'm a very large man and my back problems have practically disappeared since buying this mattress.
We purchased this a couple months ago for $1,299 and it's killing me back. I wake up in pain. Still hoping it's just adjusting, but it's been around 2 months and I feel like it's just too firm. Hoping I don't have to bring it back.
Terrible mattress. It degrades over time resulting in uneven depressions and lack of support. Mine was great for nearly a year, then it all changed. I developed back pain and wife developed hip pain. It eventually felt like sleeping on a lumpy ridge or in a depression. Costco was great with the return. Picked it up and provided full refund. I won't miss lifting such a heavy mattress when changing sheets.

Anyone side sleepers that run hot have any comments on this? Currently using a latex mattress but looking at alternatives.
I don't have an answer, but I am a side sleeper that gets hot and thought that latex would be the answer....but you're looking to change....why? I prefer softer beds too.

This mattress has memory foam. If you sleep hot, avoid at all cost. The only mattresses I've tried that don't retain heat are Purple and SleepOnLatex. I have both and they are perfect for side and hot sleepers. Anything cool/chill/ice memory foams are just gimmicks. Avoid them at all costs, you will just burn up in the middle of the night.

We have this bed and we love it. Tried a few memory foam options including the Casper, and a hybrid one, the cocoon. I would wake in the middle of the night feeling like I was laying on lava I was so hot. Switched to this bed and have ZERO issues with heat. Also my back pain that I had just accepted as getting older is also gone. I'm 43 6',180lbs for reference.

Side sleeper here and I have no heat issues. I would burn up on the Casper we had before this.

has anyone tried brooklinen sheets? any opinions on them? if not anything comparable that's not as expensive?
I think they're overrated and overpriced. However, they are the only linen sheets I've ever tried.
We bought the king size and everything was oversized (pillow cases, fitted sheet, flat sheet, comforter cover) I'm not sure of this is intentional to achieve the linen look.
Also, the linen is very thin. You can see through it off you get s light color.
Again, there were my first and only linen sheets, so take this with a grain of salt.
I prefer flannel year round, because it's cheaper and breathable. but since we already have linen sheets, we force ourselves to use them for the summer.

Not sure if this will help but we tried their linen sheets (among a few other brands) and ended up returning them. We kept the sheets from Cultiver over all the others, which was a little unexpected since we liked the linen pillowcases from Citizenry better than Cultiver's pillowcases. Unfortunately Citizenry is even more expensive than Brooklinen (find coupon codes) but at the point of spending that much for sheets it made sense to do the ones we thought were the best.

Pretty much all of these companies have a generous return policy so if you have the budget, get a couple and send back what you don't like.

What's a good frame? I'm getting sick of the cheap Costco adjustable metal frame squeaking whenever moving around.

If helpful at all I was happy with my Sealy 11" response plush from Costco, not this mattress and not sure they sell it anymore, but there's a review for you.

Doubt this mattress is in many stores, partially because it's 14.5". They're not compressed on the warehouse floor from what I've seen.

They may or may not have it in the store. However if you can pick it up from 6 ft off the ground where it lies on other mattresses and put it on the floor to try it, you can make a fortune in the circus. It's 200 lbs easy, not to mention it's in the shape of a mattress, which is to say very unwieldy.

3 nights in, I think it's a good mattress but as noted earlier, I covered it with a latex topper I had laying around as it seems a bit too firm for me. I get you may not want to do that, but there are reviews saying it softens up (some say too much) over time.

Coming from a 4 year old zinus green tea 12", which developed quite the sag to the point where it killed my back and I do not have back problems at all otherwise.

Mattress is crap. Not durable, sleeps hot! Hit up reddits diy mattress area, built your own 4000 king mattress for 1000 bucks and laugh. I went 1" support foam, under 8" pocket coil, under 2" medium latex and 2" soft latex in a bamboo bear zip cover. We should all be building out mattresses now! Customize and change and save their insane markups!
