If so, the Dewalt is farrr better. I'm anti-dewalt, but they still have the best entry level planer on the market... until they decide to cheapen that too lol... ๐

Any reason in particular? I'm happy with them and they seem like a very strong DIY brand. I see contractors use them as wellโฆ
I watch a lot of YouTube, and the honest carpenter and HomeRenovison use a lot of dewalt. Granted they have affiliate links so they are more inclined to recommend budget friendly tools, but still.
Honest carpenter does actually seem very, well, honest so I do trust his opinion. HomeRenovison explicitly says he likes dewalt because he can abuse it (throw it down, overwork it, use the bottom of a driver as a hammer (we've all done it), etc) and it still lasts him a few years. At that point he'll drop another $100 and buy a new one . For home use I think Dewalt is great.
I'm not a dewalt fanboy, but if you couldn't tell, I do use their line of tools and have been very happy.
Are they clearing these out because they're no longer made? Saw something recently that their new NEXT-line planer would replace this. You know...the non-TTI tools made by Delta with no LSA ๐ก

Now with that, people had mentioned if you build or set up a good, flat, level, in feed and out feed table and don't take off too much wood at a time, then you can eliminate the snipe. The 2 post designs do an excellent job with the proper set up. The 4 post design it just more secure, and prevents snipe with out as much setup for and in feed and out feed tables, and can shave off more wood at a time. Plus I don't recall seeing the DW735 this cheap.
