I saw a previous expired post for the radio only version, but nothing on the 4k Cam version. Also, it seems those previously listed retailers have sold out.

Informative Youtube Video on these:

I want these. I don't have a motorcycle.
WOW. A million thumbs up for you cm2 - thanks!

I've had some original Sena SMH-10 headsets for my wife and I for probably at least 10 years now. I've been looking to upgrade them for at least half of that time, because the newer models allowed for sharing of music / audio, which I thought would be a nice feature but was never quite worth the expense. The newer camera models looked very enticing as well, but typically have been very expensive. Anyway, if these 'Kenwoods' are what they look to be, I expect to be very pleased, especially for the price.

FYI for anyone here -- I've been thoroughly happy with my old Sena SMH 10's - I have tens of thousands of miles of use of them. I've had to replace the batteries twice, which I've been able to do by cracking them open, taking some measurements and info off the old battery, and then ordering a LiPo replacement off of eBay for a few bucks. Solder the new one in and bam - several more years of reliable service. These have been through riding in rain and hailstorms without issue and the only need I have of replacing them is cooler features on the newer tech. If Sena's newer stuff is as good as their older gear, I expect these to be very solid.
Just got them yesterday and installed on my helmet. Just an fyi... I didnt see full instructions on how to install them step by step. However found the video from Kenwood and kind of helpful. The quality is really good. Definitely worth it.

I'd be all over this this if I didn't already have Packtalk. Good to see new player in this market.

Thanks for posting! Stock doesn't seem to update in real time though, so questionable as to whether it'll work out. I ordered 2 via volunteeraudio and stock availability did not update (Edit - it actually went up...looks like the # is just to create FOMO).

Another warning (Edit: OP says it's just a typo and they're aware, so likely not a problem):

My order confirmation says :

"Kenwood KCA-HX7A Motorcycle 4K Video Camera with Bluetooth Communication System"

instead of:

KCA-HX7C

No worries. My Order Confirmation had the same typo, but the Shipping Confirmation had the Correct KCA-HX7C number.

Volunteer Audio actually mentions the typo in the comments section of this You Tube video.

Thanks for that!

For those that are counting, as of 4:09PM Eastern, tristate has 126 in stock.

I ordered my HX5 from Crutchfield last week and received it. It's definitely identical to a Sena 30k, although you have to use the Kenwood-branded app (which is published by, and identical to, the Sena app).

I'm a bit confused, can these be used off-road applications with 2 people together? Say myself and a passenger could communicate but only have one phone paired?

Not sure. I think it uses Mesh or Bluetooth to handle communications, while Phone connection is most likely just used for making calls, streaming music, and for adjusting settings in the App. Can anyone confirm?

Reviewing the manual, I agree this looks like a SENA 10c Evo, which is MSRP $400 and goes on sale for $300. This explicitly intercom pairs with other SENAs, which is a big deal for me. It's more convenient than some other intercom methods. If this ships, it will be the best deal I've gotten through SD. Much appreciated.

Mesh means something specific with SENA, which as you say, this is. Per the manual, these will do intercom with other Kenwood/SENA sets. Mesh enables the radio-only set (rebranded 30k) to essentially be a repeater, so it can effectively double the range for intercoms in a group if it's in the middle. Lastly, both of these can directly pair with headsets from other brands, but my experience with that method has been mediocre and frustrating.
