My advice is to go with their Premier version. Premier is much easier and faster to tie / untie the straps. A simple math, I carry 3 bikes each time, and need to tie / untie at least 4 times (leave home / arrive at park / leave park / arrive at home). and each bike has 2 straps to hold it. so each trip I need to play with the straps for 3x4x2 = 24 times. If you ride regularly, it could be hundreds of times each year. a few dollars upgrade to Premier can save you hours of hassle.
If you don't need 5 bikes, wait for the deal on 4-bike Premier version, which sometimes can drop to ~$100.
I know you're making a bit of a double-entendre there (nice one), but I wanted to add, for anyone else reading, that helicopter tape is another good option for protecting paint on your frame, particularly if you've just bought a new bike and the paint is as-of-yet unblemished (and you want to keep it that way).
I've got a buddy who bought a $2800 bike and I could tell his heart hurt after the paint was immediately damaged on the ride home from the shop by the bike rack. Just trying to help prevent anyone else from feeling that pain.
Anytime bikes are mounted really close together there is a high probability of scratching. I have a trunk rack for 4 bicycles and if 4 are actually loaded, they will all rub from stop and go momentum. I try to keep it to 2 bikes for that reason. If you have metal mountain bike pedals with spikes for grip, make sure they are placed in a position to lower the risk of scraping other bikes.

Here's the thing on the comments about bike racks for expensive bikes.
This is great for bikes that don't cost over day $1000. For your average person these types of racks work well.
In my case I have a $4700 carbon MTB and I would never put that on a rack like this. I bought a rockymounts pedestal type rack where your tires rest on a base and the rack holds on to the tires I stead of the frame.
Yes they cost a lot more than these types of racks but if you're playing w expensive bikes and ara afraid then move up on the rack category as well.
Problem with this rack is, unless you're using it with expensive bikes you will quickly overcome the weight rating of the rack.
Also take note that though they call it a 5-bike rack, they never show any pictures of 5-bikes on it....makes one go hmmmm.
Should i get the 5 bike even tho I only use it for 4 bikes so it has more room?
It's not easy to load four bikes on the four bike rack. I strongly recommend buying a five bike rack to reduce aggravation every time you use it. I have a four bike rack and I hate to load bikes on it.
There is Premier, Deluxe, Deluxe Locking and many more. Enough to confuse people. Does anyone know the difference between Premier, Deluxe? They both are same price. Which one do you recommend?
On the Premier, are the straps strong enough? Last longer even after exposed to weather elements? How easy it is to replace with a new one?

Yes, the straps on Premier are very good. They are made of rubber I believe. Have seen it on my friend's car. Easy to put on and take off.

I got the 4bike version but just ordered the 5bike version as others mentioned it's a hassle to try getting 4 bikes on the 4 bike version. I missed out on the premier locking version for the same price but I am assuming nothing else is different between the locking and no locking version except the lock part. Is there a way to add the locking capability separately to the non locking version?

I would say yes. This will hold five road bikes. But if you're putting mountain bikes, cruisers, kids bikes, etc., they all take up more space. I struggle with getting my 3-4 bikes on it. The handle bars get in the way.
