EVGA does not make PSUs. It rebrands them. The G2 and G3 were made by Superflower and were great. The G5 is a mediocre PSU. The G6 is apparently very good although not as good as the old G2.
Here is a review from one of the best PSU reviewers out there.
Great - thanks OP. Picked up one. This comes with 10 yr warranty. I have a EVGA psu that I have been using since 2007 and still works on my old pc/server.
(I followed an affiliate link on a pc hardware site that is giving me another $8 off, but not sure if posting that here is kosher. Maybe SD affiliate link works similarly.)
EDIT - As others noted, SD affiliate link provides the same 10% off. (With caveats about EVGA's return policy, restocking fees, etc.)
YMMV, but even better with Amex 20% off . $70 (including tax) is a steal for this high quality psu.
Depends on what you call "high quality". This psi is alright, but I wouldn't personally classify it as high quality. Aris found this to be using ACRF which reduces capacity of bulk cap. While the vast majority of parts may be good quality, the design also hurts transient draw performance so meh, I'd pass on this unit in favor of something better.

What would you recommend in this price range that's fully modular?

currently, not too many sales on good psu's in the ~750w range. The one I'd recommend as a full mod 750 would be the cx750f. Its fully modular, can hit gold efficiency with the Argb off, and is like $5 more than this G5. Without ACRF, this G5 would be a nice deal tho. The cx-f is a really really nice HEC unit, and a good all around performer. It's main issue is a bit loose load reg on 12v rail, but its still within spec.
nothing crazy, a more insane deal would be when the enermax revolution DF 850w was this price. Much better unit than this, really really nice GPU-G unit. Or if talking about non modular psus, the bitfenix formula 650/750 at like $60 or whatever it was. Sadly, haven't seen those deals for a while now.
