Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

Same here. Never before in my life have I been rejected for any kind of credit. FICO over 800. Never missed a payment. All accounts in good standing. Waste of time and now I have that inquiry sitting on my credit report which is not something most people would want. They can go pound sand.

A couple of months ago I was denied too. Scores from all agencies in 820 - 830. Their reconsideration department don't budge. Never had any capital one card. I had a bank account with them, to show my protest I closed that account too and mentioned in their survey why I closed my account.

Stay away if you don't want a dent on your credit scores and stays there for 2 yrs.

It's not all about credit scores. There are algorithms to check history and behavior, the kind people are discussing here to redeem bonus and cancel or downgrade. Be very very careful following advice like this. Short term ecstasy, long term rejections

FYI, I applied with Chase just after a week, and they accepted, for a huge bonus credit card. CapitalOne sucks.

With a $300 annual travel credit and $395 in fees, this is easily one of the best cards on the market if you can use the benefits

Yeah it's all how the individual cards benefit and fit your lifestyle. I was ok paying the Amex Platinum fee the first year since it gave me $400 just to do the GlobalPtotect/Precheck fees for 4 of us. Add on free Disney+, free Walmart+, saved hundreds in airline fees, saved hundreds in their Preferred hotel stay benefits, 19 complimentary lounge visits across the world, $15 free Uber credits a month, a 150,000 reward point challenge, $100 of free stuff at Saks, etc. Easily worth $2000 in value my first year. Second year with far less business travel made it less appealing. Just depends on your situation.

They don't exist but also that's not what this is as you pay $98 for trial year. There are better comparable offers with that annual fee. Pretty good deal for anyone consider VentureX for sure. Save 350 AF, same bonus value. I've heard the Capital one booking system has slim options but wonder if anyone with more experience can weigh in on that?
Chase Ink has no fee and $750 bonus after first three months. You just need to look harder.

That's correct for two of the three Inks, so technically no.

You're also comparing apples and oranges in a business line of 3 cards to a single personal card. Most people don't think they qualify for those (I'm guessing you're aware they do since you're trying to educate us all with your impressive knowledge). This is also a 2x everyday spending card, unlike every other mid-tier card. It has its role.

If you know what you're doing, that $750 you're bent over can translate to a $2750-3250 discount on travel; sometimes more. It doesn't seem you're as savvy as you think you are. Good luck with that ego and those $750 big ones bruh LMAO
