Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

Did anyone try their pre-approved feature to see if they would get this card without having to do a hard pull. It showed I am pre-approved for a number of cards, this being one of them. Has anyone been denied after initially being shown pre-approved?
I have over 200k miles on the venture card. Had it for 3x years now, got it during the hotels.com 10x points days.
Travel partner transfer is good for me as they offer more than CSR. Their travel site is terrible as it doesn't offer much options besides basic economy.

Screw this card and the company. I've applied a handful of times over the years, always rejected even though a score of over 800 and low credit utilization. I will not be applying again.
One of the most meager bank when it comes to credit limit. Will never apply for their credit card. Applied with 14 years of credit history with 300k+ total limit combined across the banks with 800+ score and I was approved for 1k LOL. None of ny credit cards have a limit less than 20k.
Why get a credit card with annual fees when there are plenty without the fee
So this card particularly has so many benefits, that after everything, it probably pays you 5$/year to use it. Worth every penny. Airport lounge access, Global Entry credit are just additional perks aside from the hotel statement and anniversary points. Due to 2points/1$, points accumulate really quick
CitiPremier is a great card. However, don't repeat my mistake and use it for Amazon purchases and gift cards. These points can be worth so so much more. Learn how to transfer them to airlines and get free travel. Your 80,000 points may put you in business class flight to Europe round trip if you plan ahead, transfer to the right airline, and possibly utilize transfer partner promo when Citi decides to have some

Just an FYI for anyone considering any capital credit product, their entire points transfer portal has been down for the past 9 days with absolutely ZERO reason provided to consumers. There's no ETA on when it will be live again. You can't transfer your points. Their customer service reps have no answers. There's been no information communicated to anyone publicly about why its down. More than likely some sort of data breach or hack.
