Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

My credit score is around 735 from creditwise and 710 from fico . I owned a captial one card quicksilver with $26k credit limit for 1.5 years . One late payment and 4 inquires in last 2 years. I am interested in venture x but it said it require excellent credit scores which means more than 760+ …will I get rejected most likely?

Not necessarily. Card issuer look for people who will be able to pay. They don't care if you can pay in full each month or not. When I used the prescreen tool in Capital One website, it told me that I am eligible for Standard Venture Card, but I applied Venture X and got approved.
I have 837 FICO score as of today and when I got approved, I was somewhere 820 range last year.

So regular venture only provide secondary insurance as collision damage waiver instead of primary ? I heard chase sapphire preferred is just a visa signature card but they also give the primary insurance as collision damage waiver.

I see. Your credit score is excellent . I check my capital one offer and I am eligible to upgrade to Regular venture card without doing credit check but there is no offer for the opening bonus. I am thinking whether I should wait .

Got it. CSP also has better opening bonus 90k points than regular venture 75k. Which one do you prefer more ?

CSP @ 90k is the better deal if I were to choose. UR points are more highly regarded in terms of travel value.

Why get a credit card with annual fees when there are plenty without the fee
Partially agree. The knowledge you gain was just a little by just surfing the web. I would say this is very much outer thin-line perspective. When you're looking for credit card, obviously you looking for the card with zero annual fee but if you didn't get one you should check the benefits. If benefit is much higher than what you pay as annual fee you don't need to think twice.

If I am a primary card holder, can I take my family to airport Lounges while travelling ?

also how many time I can access airport Lounges in a year ?

can anyone please answer ?

Assuming you're referring to the venture x card, then your using your venture x card, you can access any capital one lounge unlimited times, and you can bring two guests with you. You can also apply and get a priority pass select pass that provides lounge access for yourself and 2 guests for any lounge in the priority pass network.

Now here is where the venture x card shines compared to other cards. For all the lounge benefits mentioned above for yourself as the primary care holder, all the authorized users that you add to your account also gets the same benefits, for free! For me, I added my wife and 3 kids, they get the exact same lounge benefits as me! You can add your parents or relatives and they get the same lounge benefits. Once catch though: priority pass requires the applicant to be at least 18 years old, so anyone below 18 can't get the priority pass.

Oh one more thing to add. Imagine your family has 5 venture x cards, i.e., primary + 4 authorized users. This means that your family of 5 can bring a total of 10 guests. If 15 of you access the capital one lounge at DFW (I live in the DFW area), you're look at a cost of 15 x $65 or $975 just for that one lounge visit!

It is hard to use the points of this card. Air Canada has rare availability unless you fly in Canada. I regret I got this card.

Do you only fly air Canada? You can fly in many other international airlines. Have you even checked the list of point transfer partners?

You will also have unlimited access to these lounges.
One more lounge you forgot to mention is the Premium Plaza lounges which is by far the best lounges you can use.
Capital one Venture X card gives free access to Premium Plaza lounges and you can take 2 guests with you too.
Recently we had an international trip and used 4 lounges for 4 people. So we have already got our money's worth for more than 2 years of annual fee😛😛
