Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

Why get a credit card with annual fees when there are plenty without the fee
Only get 5x points through Capital One Travel (COT)... just looked and hotel rates are 10% to 15% higher on COT compared to booking direct. This negates any value of this card.
For those getting this card to transfer reward from Savor or QS to Venture mile... hold on to that thought. Since last week, this feature has been removed. Some folks reached out to Cap1 and was informed by rep that this is temporary with no definite return date. So in other words, this feature may never come back.
Got approved this past Monday. No sign of any card shipment. Called in and they cannot expedite or provide and virtual numbers. Weird.
Go to the capital one app. You can create an account for that new card and it will allow you to see the virtual number. It will also show you the current status of the new card. I did that when I got approved two months ago.
I had this card until 2 days ago. Got $750 worth of points that was easy to redeem. Basically, use the card on anything travel related, like hotels, etc. After the charges are posted, you can apply the charges to the points, it will be credited to the same account for the same value as the charge.
The rep from another country said the 75k miles were worth only $375 in statement credits? true?

It's partially true. If you redeem the points for a statement credit (essentially cash), then they are only worth 0.5 cents/point. However, if you have any travel-related charges (hotel, airfare, car rental, etc), then you can redeem your points to offset those charges at 1.0 cents/point. They show up as a statement credit.
I think you can offset travel charges up to 90 days in the past, but I might be wrong about that.
Is there a referral bonus for the applicant of the venture card? not the venture x. The venture card?

No, there is not, AFAIK.
I am presuming that the Venture is the same at Venture X.
There is a referral bonus for the Venture card and the Venture is different from the Venture X. I just got an email from Cap One reminding me that I could claim a referral bonus if I was able to refer someone and I have the Venture.
Not sure if the Venture X also offers a bonus but I'd guess so.
