I don't remember on the Venture as it was too long ago. For the Spark card, I was approved Dec 21 and got the card Jan 2 or 3rd maybe. Of course Christmas and New Year affected that delivery time most likely. I needed to use the card to make some donations still in the 2023 tax year which is why I went to the app and virtual card.

Layla was my GF's dog. That pic was taken in the NC mountains after we had been caught in probably the heaviest downpour I've ever been in. Layla was none too happy.
Thanks for the info.

Well if you haven't gotten your points yet, you will before long and you can plan a trip somewhere to use those points.

If you have more expenses coming up, you may want to look into Chase cards. I have 2 Cap1 Cards, 4 Chase cards and 2 Citi cards and have gotten bonuses on all of them and have gotten/given referring bonuses as well. I still don't understand how this works for the CC companies but I'm willing to play along. Smilie

It works because people forget to pay their bills on time and rack up interest or they pay the annual fee and never use the points they accrue.

You never cancel the cards after bonus given?

If there's no annual fee there's no reason to cancel a card (and some reasons not to) other than for further-churning purposes (like you want to churn the same card and can't while it's still open-- or you're at the max cards allowed for a given bank and want to churn a new one)

If there is a fee then keeping it open depends if you get enough ongoing value to make it worth keeping-- there's any number of cards that's true for, and some that it's not... (and it may vary a bit for a given person which are which)

Sometimes I do. These are just the cards I have now. I've gotten so many cards over the past decade I don't remember them all. Sometimes the banks just close them because I haven't used them for so long. Of course I don't leave cards active if I'm paying an AF unless I would get some other perks that make the AF worth it.

With the last chase card I added (business unlimited ink) I had to call them to get it approved. They were only going to give me a tiny credit line until we worked out that I could move $40k worth of credit line from another Chase Ink card which I wasn't using. So I'm glad I hadn't closed that inactive card. Don't ask me why they keep giving me cards when all I do is collect the bonus and shift my spending from one Chase card to another.

Points are only worth $0.005 towards statement credit so not very good for cash back - redeeming for travel gives you a $.01:1 redemption rate

A quick question.
Do I have to pay $95 annual fee right after I get approval or it will be charged after I received the physical card AND activate it?
TIA

I got charged after I activated. I didnt have access the virtual card before I got my physical card.

Did you download the C1 app? From there I was able to access virtual cards immediately.
