Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

Thanks for the info - I might as well go get the BOA Premium cash rewards card then - $600 cash back redeemable for anything for spending the same $4k in the first 90 days. New PC here I come…
If you don't have Chase cards yet, you might look into them first. The business INK card gives $750 bonus and they do cash back but you'll need to spend $6k in 90 days. The Cap1 Spark card has the same offer. I have both of these and several more. I often apply for a new card when I have a major purchase coming up.
I already have global entry... The question is can i use the global entry benefit on my kids? They are under 14 yrs. thanks.
Yes, I got global entry for my kids who are younger then yours. We used our credit cards to get this benefit for the kids and got refunded. Credit Card companies only look for the code/ charge type. If it is for global entry or TSA pre, they don't care, whome you paid it for. Secondly, Global Entry is a huge time saver when coming in from an international trip into any busty airport. Hope this helps.

Do they pay for more than one $100 statement credit in the household? I thought it's only 1 credit per main card holder.

[a NON-business card with that bonus!]
Isn't the AF charged at the end of the year? so when approaching your end of first year then cancel it before AF is being charged. why to even pay $95?

No the AF is charged in the first month, unless you apply for a card with AF waived for the first year.
Capitol 1 has weird approval system.
If you have good to excellent credit score, don't waste your HP on them.
They are also the only major creditor pulls from all 3 credit bureaus.
I'd advise stay away from them.
Can confirm. 800+ credit score and the only card that declined me recently is this one. Never going near this card again.
New the CC Hack Game. I am a AA Gold Member. If I get this card/points, transfer them to British Airways, book flights through them and attach my AA Advantage shouldn't I get points on my AA account?
And do they hassle you when you downgrade the card just before paying the annual fee?
Agree. Have near perfect FICO score and yet was rejected. WTF.
Of course! They also look at the "outstanding" amount of debt! They need those special "tools" who use the credit card system because they have no choice, and are willing to pay only the minimum monthly payment and partake in the 25% or more APR. It's the definition of usury, only legal and encouraged! Those who can afford to pay the balance off each month or those who don't have to use CC as a way to stay alive, can buzz off! How else do you think they're able to pay these amazing "benefits" ?!
I got an Amex card two months ago. Is it fine to apply for a new card now?
Are you within 5/24? And has good credit score
I know 2 of my friends rejected. One already had 5/24. For another score was excellent. I think, they approve if you have good score, from 760 up to 800
Never apply credit cards from Capital one if you have too many credit cards (I have 5). Both my wife and myself were rejected because of this reason even credit scores are war above 800.

Think the Chase rewards card used to include restaurants but saw an article in the last month or so that they were going to stop the benefit.

What are the chances I will get rejected for this card?
I have a big travel expense coming up in May and wanted to maximize my benefits.
Any date point to get AF waived? Particularly for 2nd year. Something like a retention offer?
Mine is up for renewal in few months.
