What is that supposed to mean? If you do a little math, the reward more than covers the fees in these cards so they're actually paying you to use the card.

Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

Do I retain my miles if I downgrade to a free card?

With the Venture they won't give you full value on cashback unless you count being reimbursed for travel expenses. I have a Spark Business card as well as the Venture and the Spark card will give you cash back at 100% value.
Is there a business card from cap1 where we can rack up points to be used to transfer to partners?

I'm not sure but I think not. You can get the regular point/penny value when used as a statement credit and maybe more if you buy gift cards through C1 but I don't think they work with travel partners.

I've only used mine for the statement credit.

Besides Priority Pass lounges, Capital One has 3 lounges of their own. So, nothing specific to this card with regards to the lounge experience if using Priority Pass.

Overall Priority Pass has been good except for my home airport in ORD (mostly useless).

This card is free.

1st year: $395 fee - $300 travel credit - $100 Global Entry credit first year = $5 earning
(not including sign-up bonus, or priority pass benefit)
2nd year and onward: $395 fee - $300 travel credit - 10,000 free miles (worth $100 at a minimum) = $5+ earning

Yes, the travel credit needs to be used at CapOne portal. It sucks, but prices are the same as official channels. I will say that at a maximum it is not actually worth $300. If you use it to book a flight, you are missing out on $300 worth of CapOne miles, in this case 5x CapOne points. So the value lost is like $15 or so (depending on how you value a point transferred to a partner). If you use it to book a hotel, you are losing out on 10x points on $300, or $30 or so.

Hmm, I have 8 at the moment. Seems like a stupid reason if you have the income and credit history to support it.
I probably have 20 open credit cards and haven't been declined for a card in years. Don't think I can apply for this one though since I have the Venture X. I imagine it's like the Chase Sapphire, can only have one open at a time.

Oops, didn't realize I was replying to a post from years ago. lol

You get priority pass, which is crap and also access to Capital One lounges. I think there are only three of those at this time. The one in DFW has gotten really bad recently. Every time I go there is a wait. It didn't use to be that way 6 months ago. And every time I've waited, when I've actually gotten up there, there are open seats everywhere. Not sure why they limit capacity so much when there is ample space. And I am generally traveling alone which is more frustrating. I've always found a seat at the bar. The Denver lounge hasn't gotten too bad. I'm flying to Denver again in June so we'll see how it is now.

Lounge is on par with AA Admirals Club IMO

I fly out SEA-CLT pretty often. The food is much better at Seattle. Snack and drink options are great

I've primarily kept this card because of the value of I've found in the PP lounges. I still try to eat before getting to the airport but if you fly often enough and consume alcohol the card becomes worth it very very quickly

Not sure which card you're referring to but when I used the Spark Business card points as a credit statement it was the point/penny ratio. The venture gives the same ratio if used for travel spending but less as a statement credit. Afaict, you can't transfer points between the two cards.

The Venture points are sometimes worth more if you have a transfer partner that works but I used mine for an American Air flight to MX and there wasn't any transfer partner that made a difference.
