Bigger bonuses. Then once it's time to renew, you downgrade to a no annual fee card.

No matter whatever card you get from them, Cap One is wasted credit inquiries. They like to pull ALL three bureaus. Most other cards only pull one. Nothing Cap One offers is worth 3 inquires on your reports.
Cancel after one year. So effectively a $650 bonus.
Show me a no annual fee card with a ~$650 bonus... I'll wait.

I'm not sure but I think not. You can get the regular point/penny value when used as a statement credit and maybe more if you buy gift cards through C1 but I don't think they work with travel partners.
I've only used mine for the statement credit.

I got the same card I think It's1.5/2x per $1 but isn't it better to transfer to other partners?
Not sure which card you're referring to but when I used the Spark Business card points as a credit statement it was the point/penny ratio. The venture gives the same ratio if used for travel spending but less as a statement credit. Afaict, you can't transfer points between the two cards.
The Venture points are sometimes worth more if you have a transfer partner that works but I used mine for an American Air flight to MX and there wasn't any transfer partner that made a difference.
what is the lounge access like these days with this card? only seeing mostly bad reviews on most recent reddit posts
Comments referencing a $395 AF or Priority Pass lounge access are not applicable to the Venture card which is the subject of this thread. I know it can be difficult to maintain focus but let's do better.
Regarding lounge access, I visited the capital one lounge in Denver twice in the past month. No wait either time. The lounge was clean and busy without being crowded. The staff was friendly and the food and drink options were very decent. One important point to note is that the 2 complimentary passes that come with this card (Venture) will no longer be offered after Dec 31, 2024.
I don't fly, an I able to cash out the$750 towards statement credit?
Not on the Venture card... you'll only get half that amount for a statement credit. Cap1 does have a business card... Spark Cash Select with a $750 bonus and that card does give you full statement credit. I have both of these cards.
Hmm had a basic capital one card for years. Think they would switch me over and give me the miles for being with them so long or only good for new customers? They keep offering me that option (to switch).

You might just apply for a new card. I have multiple Cap1, Chase, Citi cards and have gotten bonuses on all of them.

I had a Venture card and they wouldn't give me the bonus for Venture X if I converted it. I ended up applying for and getting Venture X and then canceling the regular Venture card.

Is it hard to get the business card?
I have one other business card, I was at 95% capacity for a couple years there but recently paid half off bringing the balance to $5000. I dont know if there is a business credit score they look at or what.

I've never had a problem but I have a high credit score and an S Corp. I can send you a link to both Chase and Cap1 business cards if you want.
I have this card and the GF has the Chase Sapphire ($200 more per year). The lounge access and other perks, not comparing travel rewards, are much better on the Chase Sapphire.
Define "Perfect" 850? I have a 835 credit score, applied and was instantly approved for $15,000. I don't think that I have have a capital one credit card in the past, so maybe that was the deciding factor.
Agreed. Mine was 820 and they gave me 30k instantly on the screen.

I think each card has something different to offer. I like the cell phone accident protection. Just use the venturex to pay your cell phone bill and all phones on the bill are covered up to $800. I have seven phones on my account.

$200 more? Maybe you're comparing the Venture X with the Chase Sapphire Reserve?
