I did this once but had the card for over 4 yrs... One point equals $1

They're similar in some ways but I believe the Chase Sapphire gives more options as to what to do with your points if using them for travel. I have both cards (as well as other Chase and Cap1 cards) and I suggest getting bonuses on all of them if you can.

Venture one X. $395 AF. $300 travel credit. 10k points at anniversary (10k points worth $10 minimum). They basically pay you $5 to have the card.
