These are service and repair manuals. Not the operator manual. Or the owners manual as you called it. The owners manual is accessible through the in car touch screen or via your Tesla account, which is required to order a vehicle. These are at no cost.

Clearly you don't have one. Why even comment here? This thread doesn't effect you at all.
I'll never understand this. I have a four year old Tesla and I've needed to service one thing- windshield wiper fluid. Seriously, that's it.

I own a Model Y and the navigation is years behind Google and Apple. That's not even debatable. How long did we wait for waypoints? And the roll out isn't even full featured.

Other parts of the software are embarrassingly laggy and buggy. Apps like YouTube take infinitely longer to load and start than they did on my iPhone 8.

Their software while better than legacy car manufacturers is primitive compared to CarPlay and Android Auto.
Navigation and all apps (youtube, NEtflix) are blazing fast on my Model 3.

Mine is the newer version with Ryzen CPU.

Takes 3-5 seconds to run Netflix.

Manufactures do this because of customers. Apple could change the iPhone 10x a year if they wanted too. They don't because no one wants to drop $1000 on a phone and have it changed a month later.

Another reason why Tesla doesn't get customer service. The majority of the Tesla subreddit is owners whining about changes made to the cars, or trying to time buying based on unpredictable changes…and those are the fanatics. Imagine what the regular person is going to feel when they drop $60k for a car and it gets updated a week later.

And the move to Austin will hurt them long term. He's already admitted that it's tougher than anticipated to get good engineers to work for them in Texas. They have resorted to gimmicks like offering jobs to people before they even have degrees to bridge the gap lol
this makes no sense. do you remember the iPad 3/4? I did. Apple released iPad 4 just a few months later after the iPad 3.

Apple *can't* make new changes to a phone a few times a week because there's not much TO change.

it's no different than someone buying an iphone one week before the new one.

Tesla chose Austin specifically to have access to talent over Oklahoma. You don't know what you're talking about.

That is the part where you are forgetting a feature line CarPlay can be added by Tesla if absolutely required through an OTA update.
I have yet to find an instance where I wish that I could use CarPlay on my vehicle. My old model 3 the Netflix and YouTube feature was a little slow. The model Y i picked up 2 weeks ago is quite fast. I don't really binge Netflix in my car so even if it was laggy i would not consider that a reason to not purchase an otherwise excellent vehicle.
My honest opinion is that adding CarPlay is not high on teslas planned features and that is why you don't see it. Not because the manufacturer is unable to add it.
I tend to agree with this decision. Since the system is so far ahead of every other car manufacturer as you have said, I see no need for Tesla to waste time on it currently.

Do you know how much $$ a used 2019 Tesla Model 3 costs today?
I got mine e for $49k in October...fully loaded, mint condition, and 18k miles. I drive 144 miles round trip a day, 4x a week. Wouldn't trade for anything else...and my work let's me charge for free there, essentially paying for some of my mileage. Not bad.

Thanks OP! I don't forsee needing these manuals, although I did have to swap out one of the side cameras, but $50, a YT video, and an hour of my time solved that issue. It's nice to have these.
